Mazda MX-5: new versions

Revised delivery range

Mazda MX-5 model year 2023

Mazda not only keeps its model range up-to-date by carrying out a facelift every now and then, but also by fine-tuning its cars annually on a detailed level. The Mazda MX-5 of the new model year will receive, among other things, new versions.

To avoid any disappointment, the new model year Mazda MX-5 will not get a thoroughly revamped appearance or a modified powertrain. Mazda does bring a new exterior color to the MX-5 called Zircon Sand. In addition, the red version of the cloth hood will disappear, Mazda will replace it with a brown hood.

More interesting, however, are the versions in which Mazda delivers its roadster. The open two-seater was previously available in an unnamed standard taste, as Luxury, Signature and as Sportive. The unnamed version is now called Prime-Line. Above that will be the Exclusive-Line. The third and last regular variant that functions as a top version is called Homura. From now on, the 132 hp 1.5 is available for every version. In addition, the 184 hp 2.0 is of course also available again. Top version Homura has things like Recaro sports seats and if you combine this version with the most powerful drivetrain, you get Brembo brakes, Bilstein dampers, a strut bridge and BBS wheels. The Exclusive-Line and Homura variant are optionally available with the Driver Assistance Pack, which brings more passive and active driver assistance systems to the MX-5. Mazda also adds two Special Editions to the MX-5 range: the Kazari and Kizuna. The first has light brown leather upholstery, a brown soft top and a black hard top. In the Kizuna you get white leather upholstery, a blue soft top and a black hard top. The MX-5 RF with steel folding roof will continue to exist.

Prices for the Mazda MX-5 of model year 2023 will follow later.
