Tuner Novitec has unleashed the contents of its bag of tricks on the most accessible McLaren ever: the GT. Just as the GT is quite restrained for McLaren concepts, Novitec’s version by tuner standards is also remarkably sober.
Mid-last year, McLaren expanded its delivery range with the GT, a supercar where, unlike its more extreme siblings, the word ‘comfort’ has also been relatively high on the priority list during development. This 620 hp McLaren has now been tackled by Novitec.
Tuner Novitec has developed three power courses for the McLaren GT. With the most modest dose of extra muscle, the power of the 4.0 V8 increases to 672 hp and 688 Nm. A power module is also available that jacks up the eight-cylinder to 691 hp and 705 Nm. The most powerful upgrade is the module that makes the McLaren GT a 707 hp and 714 Nm strong powerhouse. With that power, the GT sprints to 100 km / h in 3 seconds. The top speed is 333 km / h. The original needs 3.2 counts for the o-100 sprint and finishes at 326 km / h. You will not be satisfied with those numbers …
Novitec gives the McLaren GT a set of fairly modest-looking spoilers and lips and puts new 20- and 21-inch light metal from Vossen on the order lists. In addition, the company supplies a set of springs that place the two-seater about 2.5 centimeters closer to the asphalt. Of course, the interior of the McLaren GT can also be adapted to the wishes of the customer.
