EQA or CLA?

Mercedes-Benz is working on a compact electric sedan, which may soon be called EQA, but CLA is also an option. In any case, Mercedes-AMG is also working on it, as this fresh image from the far north shows.
There is a relatively compact sedan with electric drive in the maternity rooms at Mercedes-Benz and you would logically expect the EQA badge on it. The current EQA could then continue as an EQA SUV. Yet it is still anything but certain that Mercedes will go in that direction. The EQ label does not seem to have a long life and in September the brand showed a Concept CLA study model that clearly looks ahead to the EV spotted here again.
EQA or CLA; Whatever it ends up being, it’s clear that Mercedes-AMG has its own take on it. Here we almost certainly see a sporty top version or sub-topper of the model. The large brake discs give this away and otherwise the (undoubtedly somewhat thickened) rear spoiler takes care of that. In the photo below we also see that the test driver kicked the car hard on its tail and threw it sideways in the snow. Let’s check what he has in house.
What that exactly is is still unclear to us. In any case, the study model had an electric lung capacity for a range of 750 kilometers. Such an AMG version will probably not achieve that. However, it may have more power than the 328 hp of the Concept CLA and it is also clear that the base is suitable for four-wheel drive.
