Daimler has revealed his financial results for 2019. In addition, the brand looks ahead to what this year will bring, also when it comes to new models.
Daimler reports that it generated a turnover of 172.7 billion euros in 2019, 3 percent more than in 2018. EBIT, the operating income of a company before interest and tax deduction, was 4.3 billion euros. Net profit came to 2.7 billion euros last year, partly due to heavy investments, considerably lower than the 7.6 billion euros that Daimler ended in 2018. However, in 2019, Mercedes-Benz sold 2,385,400 more cars than the 2,282,800 units it sold a year earlier. Mercedes-Benz looks ahead to the results of 2020 and confirms the arrival of at least two models.
Mercedes-Benz confirms that the EQA will be launched in the fall of this year. The EQA, unlike the EQA Concept presented in Frankfurt in 2017, will not be a hatchback, but a crossover. It is in fact the all-electric version of the new second generation of the GLA. Mercedes-Benz also reports that the new S-class will be launched this year. That S-class will also have a fully electric brother in the form of the yet to be revealed EQS.
