Mercedes-Benz EQE 300 Business Edition: less expensive, more equipment

Just ordered a new Mercedes-Benz EQE Business Line? Then you will not like this news, because as a temporary Business Edition, the EQE is not only less expensive, but also more fully equipped. Temporarily, yes.

According to the price list, the Mercedes EQE 300 Business Edition, a kind of action model, is available until October 17. Anyone who steps into an EQE before that time cannot really ignore this version. First of all, it is cheaper than the ‘normal’ basic model. That’s the EQE 300 Business Line – confusing, but mind the last word – from €72,348. The Business Edition costs €69,928. For that money you get a car that at first glance is identical to the Business Line, but there is one important difference: as a Business Edition, the EQE has a panoramic sliding roof as standard. A copy that can really open, very nice. In the configurator we encounter another important difference for those who like to see life on the bright side. Where the Business Line is only available in shades of gray, you can go to the Business Edition for the ‘Sodalite Blue’ that we have also put above this story for the occasion. Without surcharge!

From a technical point of view, of course, there is no difference. The EQE 300 Business Edition still has one electric motor with 245 hp and a battery pack with a net capacity of 89 kWh, good for a theoretical driving range of about 600 kilometers.

EQA and EQB

The Business Edition is available for the EQE sedan, but not for the SUV. The larger EQS, which is often mentioned in the same breath as the very similar EQE, will not get it for the time being either. Mercedes does supply Business Editions for the EQA and EQB. In both cases, the smaller electric Mercedes is the only version currently available, in combination with the 190 hp 250+ powertrain. Our suspicion is that Mercedes bridges the period between now and the upcoming facelift for these models with these versions. After all, after the A-class, the GLA and GLB go under the knife, and the EQA and EQB are its electrical derivatives. For those who want to know: a sliding roof is unfortunately not part of these Business Editions. It is possible, but costs €1,452.
