Mercedes-Benz EQS better in the picture

The Mercedes-Benz EQS has been spotted in the wild again. The fully electric top model from Mercedes is now provided with less camouflage, making it easier than ever to see how the electric top limousine will dry up.

From previous photos it could already be inferred that the S-class and the EQS are two completely different models with their own identity, but with these latest spyshots the distinction becomes even clearer. Mercedes-Benz seems to want to give the EQS more the silhouette of the CLS. At the same time, the photos show that it will most likely be fitted with a fifth door. The shape of the headlamps is also reminiscent of the brand’s four-door coupé. Furthermore, the large glass roof of the prototype is striking, which extends almost completely towards the rear window.

It is no longer a secret that Mercedes-Benz will soon come up with the fully electric top model EQS. At the 2019 IAA Das Hausthe Vision EQS to the public, a futuristic concept car that served as an appetizer for what is to come in the end. In addition, great performance was immediately promised: the intended range is around 700 km and the combined power of the electric motors should be 476 hp. With a charging capacity of up to 350 kW, you should have filled the battery to 80% again within 20 minutes.

Mercedes-Benz has not yet provided real concrete information about the EQS, but the figures that are known so far seem realistic for a production model. According to the original schedule, the first copies of the EQS have yet to be built this year, but the electric range topper is not expected in Dutch showrooms next year.
