Mercedes-Benz EQS Manufaktur

Mercedes-Benz is bringing the Manufaktur personalization program for its high-end vehicles to the electric EQS as well. Both the AMG and Benz versions can now be ordered with additional paint colors and interior decoration on request.

Just over a year ago, Mercedes-Benz introduced its Manufaktur program, which includes a wider choice of paint colors and trims for cars such as the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door Coupé, Mercedes-Benz G-Class and S-Class. Now the brand adds the electric EQS to that list. When assembling that car, you can now choose from nine additional exterior colors via the program. Mercedes is also taking advantage of the addition of the model to the program to introduce three new color choices for the Nappa leather in the interior: ‘rosé grey’, ‘mystic red’ and ‘tobacco brown’.

Mercedes will now dress the cars that are ordered under the Manufaktur name at a new location in Sindelfingen, Germany. There the steering wheels are reupholstered by hand and the deep-pile carpets belonging to the program are given a stitched leather edge. Furthermore, the leather in a color of your choice and stitched in a diamond shape can be found on the doors, among other things, and the EQS receives numerous Manufaktur designations – including on the door sills and the center console.

Maybach variant also forthcoming

The EQS and EQS AMG in Manufaktur trim can be ordered immediately, with personalization being the magic word. The extra range makes considerably more color combinations possible and given the handmade nature of part of the work, Mercedes undoubtedly listens to personal wishes. Prefer a personalized EQS SUV? That is not yet possible, but we expect that Mercedes-Benz will also subject the higher model to the program in the future. An extra luxurious Maybach variant of the EQS is also on the way.
