Hofele Design is a German tuner that uses a slightly different method than most car adapters. The brand’s latest creation is a good example of this. We are introduced to the Mercedes-Benz G-class Ultimate HG, an opulent version with so-called suicide doors.
Hofele Design has been around for some time, but this year the stubborn German tuner really made itself heard. The company pushed forward one after another lavishly dressed Mercedes-Benz. From this E 53 Cabriolet to this EQC and from the GLE and GLS to the G-class. Even now Hofele presents a renovated G-class to daylight, but not just one. The Ultimate HG, as the edition is called, has rear doors that open towards the rear. So called suicide doors so, although Hofele Design prefers to use the designation coach doors.
Mercedes-Benz G-class
Hofele Design acknowledges that most G’s probably rarely or never travel their kilometers off the asphalt and is therefore of the opinion that an extra luxurious version with a very contagious snow-white interior fits the G-class perfectly. The company therefore describes this Ultimate HG as a direct alternative to top sedans. At the back of the G-class, Hofele Design squeezes two extremely comfortable-looking armchairs that would certainly not look out of place in the back of an S-class. The seats are separated from each other by a wide armrest, which contains a control panel for, among other things, the climate control and the displays that are mounted on the back of the front seats. More pampering comes in the form of lambswool carpets, cushions and nappa leather as far as the eye can see.
The G-class Ultimate HG includes a modified grille and modified bumper work all around. The wheel arches, the edges of which are finished with carbon fiber, contain no fewer than 23-inch turbine wheels. The body is finished in a remarkable color combination. The black color has been christened Crystal Black and, according to Hofele Design, comes from the paint pots of Rolls-Royce. The gray color is called Carpathian Gray and comes from Range Rover aerosol cans. The price of all this beauty is undoubtedly somewhere in the middle between cracking expensive and unaffordable.
