G 63 passes the three tons anyway
Mercedes-Benz lowers the prices of the G-class by several thousand euros. Yet there is also a version that is just a few thousand euros more expensive. That is the absolute top variant of the G-class: the mighty Mercedes-AMG G63.
The prices of two engine versions of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class are falling by almost €5,000. A decent price reduction, but don’t count on the G-class suddenly being a bargain. The Dutch tax authorities are happy to put their bpm-sharpened teeth into the off-roader. The least expensive Mercedes-Benz G-class is the 400d, the version with a 330 hp 3.0 diesel engine. The least expensive petrol version is the Mercedes-Benz G500 with 422 hp 4.0 V8. The starting price of this variant will drop by almost €4,900 and is currently €230,041. Of this, €95,562 goes straight to the state treasury. The absolute top version of the G-class is the G63, which the men and women of AMG have worked on. This is the only variant whose price goes up, to be precise by €2,928. The Mercedes-AMG G63 with 585 hp eight-cylinder is now on the price list for the first time for more than three tons. It costs €300,357. Of that, no less than €112,154 bpm…
In time, there will be a fully electric version of the G-class. It will be called Mercedes-Benz EQG and will undoubtedly be considerably less expensive than the models with combustion engines.
