For the time being from 72 mille
Mercedes-Benz presented a completely new generation of the GLC at the beginning of last month. AutoWeek has the prices.
The GLC is a true blockbuster for Mercedes-Benz. The previous model was the best-selling model of the brand for two years in a row, so the second-generation GLC should fill big shoes. Like its predecessor, the new GLC is based on the C-class and competes with the BMW X3, Audi Q5 and Porsche Macan.
The provisional base engine for the GLC is the GLC 200 4Matic with a 2.0 four-cylinder turbo that produces 204 hp and 320 Nm. Above that is the GLC 300 4Matic on the petrol ladder. In principle, this variant has the same power source as the 200, but with 258 hp and 400 Nm. Diesel fans can go to the GLC 220d 4Matic, which also has a 2.0 four-cylinder and produces 194 hp and 440 Nm. All these engine variants of the GLC have, as the type designation reveals, four-wheel drive. A nine-speed automatic transmission is also always present.
For now, the GLC price list starts at €72,577 for the GLC 200 4Matic Business Line. That is substantial, but not even that much more expensive than the previous generation GLC 200 4Matic which cost €70,961. For that thick 72 grand you get standard 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic air conditioning, heated seats, parking sensors with reversing camera and automatically dimming mirrors. You also get the MBUX touchscreen immediately, including integrated navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As a Luxury Line, the new GLC costs at least €75,947 and the SUV has indulgences such as electrically adjustable front seats with memory, leather upholstery and 19-inch alloy wheels. for the sportier AMG-Line you have to leave at least €79,577 at Mercedes-Benz for the time being.
The new GLC will eventually also be on the price list as a plug-in hybrid GLC 300e and GLC 400e. Both variants have a system power of 313 hp and 381 hp respectively, making the 400th the provisional top version. Between those two versions is the GLC 300de, which combines a 2.0 diesel engine with electric power and has a system output of 333 hp. The prices for the plug-in hybrid GLCs are not yet known at the moment, but these variants are expected to lead to a lower starting price in the long run.
