Which business car is most preferred?

A business car may be representative, certainly in the higher segment. When we look at the Top 10 business cars most often leased in the premium segment, we see that business drivers prefer a few brands.

Due to the rise of the full electric car, we have classified the top 10 by type of drive.

Electric car

There is a good chance that a Tesla Model 3 will come before it, followed by the Audi e-tron or a BMW i3.

In the past six months, it is the electric cars that are the most commercially registered. With 21,241 registrations, the Tesla Model 3 is amply at number 1. The Audi e-tron with 2,728 registrations is in place 2 and the BMW i3 is in place 4 with 1,454 registrations.

Business car as a plug-in hybrid

Almost every model from the Top 10 Lease is also available as a plug-in hybrid. The plug-in is interesting for business riders because the assisting battery ensures better consumption, better performance and lower maintenance costs. Add to that the fact that a Plug-In Hybrid often costs no more or is even cheaper than a comparable fuel variant. Because of the lower consumption (and associated CO2 value), less BPM is charged on these cars. This explains, among other things, the success of the BMW 3 (1,758 registrations), 5-Series (675) and X1 (348), Volvo’s V60 (843) and XC60 (398) and Volkswagen’s Passat (340).

On own (fuel) power

The Audi A4 is a striking appearance in this Top 10 of most registered premium models, it is the only model without an electric power train. There is no hybrid or electric variant of the Audi A4, only gasoline and diesel versions. With 707 registrations, the Audi A4 is in 6th place in this Top 10.
