The sporty top version of the electric MG 4 Electric X-Power, like the Trophy Extended Range, benefits from a temporary price reduction. The 435 hp four-wheel drive muscle bundle is temporarily in the order books for only a generous €41,000.
In August, MG released the Dutch prices of two new engine versions of the MG 4 Electric. From that moment on, the hatchback was also available as a Trophy Extended Range with a 245 hp electric heart on the rear axle and a new and larger 77 kWh battery pack. In addition, MG introduced the 4 Electric XPower, a four-wheel drive variant thanks to two electric motors that produces 435 hp. However, the sporty top version has to make do with the smaller 63 kWh battery. This week, MG implemented a temporary price reduction on the Trophy Extended Range and now the sportier MG 4 Electric Xpower also benefits from a lower entry price.
The starting price of the MG 4 Xpower is €3,500 lower than before until October 31, but the amount by which the price of the MG 4 Electric It was previously on the price list for €42,285, but can be sold for €41,285 until the end of October. So a thousand euro discount.
With its two electric motors and the standard Launch Control, the MG 4 Electric Xpower flies to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. The electric motor at the rear is 204 hp, the one in the front produces 231 hp. The 64 kWh battery gives the strongest MG ever in the Netherlands (until the arrival of the MG Cyberster) an electric range of 385 kilometers. In addition to a more powerful drivetrain, the Xpower has a modified suspension with stiffer stabilizer bars, modified springs and dampers and a more direct steering system. Extra potent braking should be able to calm the MG 4 Electric Xpower properly again.
