MG is coming this year with an electric two-seater: the Cyberster. AutoWeek has surfaced new patent drawings showing that electric MG Cyberster in the open.

MG certainly doesn’t shy away from being the first with certain things. With the MG 5 Electric, it introduced the first electric station wagon in Europe and therefore also in the Netherlands and the brand seems to like that pioneering role. We are not yet familiar with an open electric two-seater in the car segment such as the Mazda MX-5 from a relatively large manufacturer, but that will also change.

The MG Cyberster can be admired in open capacity on these patent drawings. To be fair: you probably won’t leave your seat in surprise. AutoWeek you could already see the patent plates of the MG Cyberster with the hood closed in June 2022. The roll bars behind the headrests are now visible and we also catch a glimpse of the digital instruments.

MG seems to be going quite well with the Cyberster. The electric roadster will have hinged doors and, just like cars such as the Tesla Model S and Model X and Toyota bZ4X, the MG Cyberster will be available with a yoke-like steering wheel. In July, MG itself showed a little more of the Cyberstar. It is not yet known when the MG Cyberster will be unveiled in its entirety.
