On September 22, Microsoft announced the introduction of new Surface devices and accessories. The new products can be pre-ordered from September 23 at the Microsoft Store on microsoft.com, other major retailers such as MediaMarkt and Coolblue, and business resellers. The Surface Go 3 will be available October 5. The other devices and accessories will be launched in the Netherlands in November or early 2022. • Surface Laptop Studio is a further development of the Surface Book, a new device with three different modes. The Surface Laptop Studio can be easily converted from workstation mode to stage and studio mode. This allows you to work even more flexibly, the way you want. Starting at $1,699, the Surface Laptop Studio comes with built-in storage and charger for the Surface Slim Pen 2, which you’ll find under the keyboard. The Surface Laptop Studio will be available in the Netherlands from early 2022.
• Surface Pro 8 brings a completely redesigned redesign of the most powerful Surface Pro. Get the experience with the high-resolution 13-inch display, including a beautifully finished, refined bezel, while maintaining easy portability. Starting at $1,179, the Surface Pro 8 features 11th generation Intel Core processors, with two Thunderbolt ports. The modern cameras and speakers take the design to a higher level. The new Type cover fits perfectly with the Surface Slim Pen 2, with built-in storage and wireless charger. The Surface Pro 8 will be available in the Netherlands from early 2022.
• Surface Duo 2 comes with a new and improved design for the Surface Duo line. The Surface Duo 2 still focuses on the ability to multitask, but features a larger screen, longer life, a dynamic triple-lens camera, blazing-fast 5G and notifications on the back when the device is closed. The Surface Duo 2 is available from November 15 from € 1649,-, only for the business market.
• Surface Pro 7+, which was previously only available for the business market, is now also available for consumers from € 949. Surface Pro 7+ is aimed at those looking for a classic Pro design, but now features the latest processors, longer battery life, a removable SSD for data retention, and LTE.
• Surface Go 3 is the most common Surface 2-in-1 with touchscreen. This one uses the same Surface Go design, but has more power. Starting at $439, this next-generation in the Surface Go line features faster Intel® Core™ processors, all-day battery life, and built-in Microsoft security. The device is optimized for the digital pen and touch, and thanks to the multifunctionality from tablet to laptop, this device is well suited for everyday tasks, homework and playing games. The Surface Go 3 (Wi-Fi) will be available in the Netherlands from October 5, 2021. The Surface Go 3 LTE from early 2022.
• Surface Pro X has been on the market for a while, but is now being made accessible to a wider audience with the Wi-Fi-only option for just $949 entry-level price. Surface Pro X is the thinnest, ultra-mobile Surface Pro and is ideal for those who want flexibility and mobility in a device. It also has more native app support and X64 emulation that brings the entire Windows ecosystem to life. The Surface Pro X (Wi-Fi) will be available in the Netherlands from early 2022.
Microsoft is also announcing several new accessories, including:
• Surface Slim Pen 2 comes with improved haptics and interactive links, making it feel like you’re writing with pen on paper. The pen can be stored and charged in Surface devices, making it easy to draw wherever you want. The Surface Slim Pen 2 will cost €129.99.
• Surface Adaptive Kit helps users set up their Surface according to their own needs. This tool can be used by anyone who wants to customize the Surface, but is particularly useful for the visually impaired, blind and/or people with disabilities. The price is €10.99.
• Ocean Plastic Mouse is 20% recycled and is made from a Microsoft-designed plastic collected from oceans and beaches. The Ocean Plastic Mouse comes plastic-free, with fully recyclable packaging, available in retail only and costs €27.99.
• Microsoft Modern USB-C Headset is certified for Microsoft Teams with high-quality audio and speech. The ultra-lightweight design, comprehensive conference features and easy installation make it easy to stay connected and focused all day long. The Modern USB-C Headset costs $64.99.
