The Mitsubishi Space Star loses its absolute basic engine and that means that the sober hatchback is only available with the more powerful but also slightly more expensive 1.2.
Until recently you could put a brand new Mitsubishi Space Star in front of the door for just under twelve grand. The absolute entry-level variant was the € 11,990 Mitsubishi Space Star with 72 hp 1.0 under the hood, executed in simple Entry trim. The same 1.0 was also available in combination with the slightly higher positioned Cool + performance level. The basic versions are retained, but from now on the Entry and the Cool + are also equipped with the more powerful 1.2, which until now was only available from the Nova version.
Specifications
This means that from now on every Mitsubishi Space Star has the 1.2 three-cylinder under the hood, a machine that, in combination with certain versions, is available not only with a manual five-speed gearbox, but also with a CVT automatic transmission. In doing so, Mitsubishi takes a striking trick. The power of the previously 80 hp and 106 Nm strong 1.2 is reduced to 71 hp and 102 Nm. After the engine adjustments, the Space Star complies with the current emission standards.
The Space Star with 1.2, coupled with a manual gearbox, takes 14.1 seconds to reach a speed of 100 km / h. The top speed in that configuration is 168 km / h. Average consumption is 4.9 / 5.0 l / 100 km. Do you opt for the Space Star 1.2 with CVT transmission? Then you have to settle for a 0-100 time of 15.8 seconds and a top speed of 160 km / h. The average consumption of the Space Star 1.2 CVT is 5.3-5.5 l / 100 km above that of its manual transmission brothers. From now on, the Space Star has a slightly higher starting price. The Space Star 1.2 Entry changes hands from € 12,490, which means that the entry price has increased by € 500.

From the Active version, things like 14-inch light metal, heated exterior mirrors, cruise control, electrically operated windows at the front and rear and LED rear lights are standard.
