News about the Fiat Doblò doesn’t exactly splash against the plinths, so if Turin has something to say about its compact commercial vehicle, Techzle is of course there like the chickens. Fiat is implementing a model year update on the Doblò. From now on, the company car is available as an S and as an adventurous Trekking.
Fiat describes the renewed Doblò as the ‘fourth generation’, although we are in fact dealing with a refined second generation that already appeared on the market in 2010. The Dobl Do of model year 2022 will, among other things, be introduced to a new multimedia system with a 7-inch screen. The system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, among others. But there’s more.
Fiat is revising the delivery range. The van is now available as an S and as a Trekking. The Trekking stands slightly higher on its legs than the regular types and has bumpers with aluminum colored accents. In addition, the Trekking has moldings on the sides on which the name of the version is proudly written. Other Trekking perks include a lockable glove compartment, standard air conditioning, a height-adjustable driver’s seat with armrests and a sliding door (right) as standard. In addition, the Trekking is equipped with Traction+, extensive traction control that distributes the drive to the wheels as efficiently as possible when there is little grip. Remote central locking is also part of the Trekking party.
The refined Fiat Doblò is available with 1.6 MultiJet2 diesel engines with outputs of 90, 105 and 120 hp. The Trekking is only available with the 105 and 120 hp variants. There is also a passenger version outside the Dutch borders, but it is not supplied in the Netherlands (photos 3 and 4). The Fiat Doblò S has a starting price of € 11,495. The Trekking changes hands from € 13,395. Of course, these prices are exclusive of VAT and bpm. Fiat supplies the Doblò as usual in two lengths and heights. In addition to the L1H1 and L2H1 flavors, there is also an L2H2, although the latter is only available as an S and with the 105 and 120 hp diesels.
