Moment T-Series: Fisheye, Wide and Televelens

The moment T-series consists of professional lenses that you can use on your iPhone (iPhone 13 and newer). For assembly you also need a moment of moment, the moment camera case with a T-series Lens Mount. Confirming and removing the lenses is then a piece of cake. You put a lens on it and tighten it with a quarter turn. The lens is immediately perfectly aligned on the main camera, something that is virtually impossible with clip-on lenses.

Moment T-Series: A Fisheye, Wide and Televelens for your iPhone

The T-Series of Moment contains a total of 7 professional lenses for your iPhone: a 58mm telephoto lens, an 18mm wide or wide-angle lens, a 14mm fisheyelens, anamorphic lenses in 1.33x and 1.55x format, and two 10x-macrolszen of 35mm and 75m. We had the chance to try the Fisheye, the Wide and the Televelens.

14mm Fisheye

Moment T-Series

With the moment T-series 14mm you can take photos and videos with a field of vision of no less than 200 degrees. That is about 30 percent more coverage of standard ultragwood angle lenses. So you can easily see everything. The lens gives the characteristic barrel -shaped effect, but without the dark corners. So you get razor -sharp images up to all edges. The lens is very suitable for action photos and videos, and for example for architecture photos, but also helps, for example, to get several people almost completely visible at a relatively short distance.

The 14mm Fisheye from Moment is the lightest lens of the three, but for all lenses it is quite heavy. That is because they are high -quality lenses, they are made of glass and metal, and then you cannot escape some more weight. In practice it is therefore nice to use a tripod. Photographing and filming from the hand also works great, but keep in mind that you have to lift a lot of weight.

18mm Wide

Moment T-Series

The 18mm Wide from the moment T-series has a focal length of 18 mm, which is ideal for landscapes, group photos, interior photography, street scenes and vlogging. Every recording gets more depth and a larger range. In contrast to the Fisheye, this objectively provides a natural perspective. With the large field of vision of 100 degrees you can fix twice more of your subject. The brightness is retained throughout the image compared to the ultra -wide angle lens of your iPhone.

With the 18mm wide lens you get a whole lot more in the picture without distinguishing, such as with the Fisheye lens. The example photos are taken with the camera app on an iPhone 15 Plus. If you use the Pro Camera by Moment (9.99 euros), you can manually adjust all camera settings and you therefore have more control over the end result.

58mm Tele

Moment T-Series

The 58mm telephoto lens from the moment T-series is the largest of the three lenses and weighs no less than 73.1 g. Certainly with this lens it is therefore advisable to use a tripod. With this lens on your iPhone you get topics twice closer. That may not sound huge, but in practice the difference is immediately very clear, as you can also see on the photos below.

Due to the focal length of 58 mm, this telephoto lens is also ideal for portraits. You create more depth in your recordings by making your subject sharper and the background inherent.

Moment T-Series

Conclusion: Moment T-Series

Cheap clip-on lenses that you can find on Amazon, for example, never really do well in practice what they promise. That is a completely different story with the lenses from the T-Series of Moment. These lenses not only provide fantastic image quality, the mounting system is also very user -friendly. Moreover, you will receive handy storage bags for the lenses.

The only possible disadvantage that we have been able to discover is the relatively high price. On average you pay around 140 euros for a lens, so if you purchase a whole series of lenses, the price rises quickly. Moreover, you need a moment camera case with a moment T-series Lens Mount (around 50 euros). At the same time, these are by far the best lenses for your iPhone, so there is simply not a real alternative.
