Morgan Motor Company is a brand that partly relies on nostalgic feelings with its classic-looking models. That melancholy is taken to a higher level with this Plus Four LM62, which is limited to 62 pieces.
Morgan won the 1962 24 Hours of Le Mans in the 2.0 GT class with a Plus 4. The current incarnation of the Plus 4, now called Plus Four, is therefore given a special LM62 (Le Mans 62) jacket.
Like the Morgan Plus 4 that won the endurance race sixty years ago, the special series of the Plus Four is painted dark green. At least, if you choose that color. The only other color in which Morgan supplies the Plus Four LM62 is a red shade that Morgan has also used on its racers in the past. Whichever color you choose, a Heritage White painted hardtop is standard. It is the first time that Morgan is screwing a hardtop on the new Plus Four. More details that refer to the past? Of course. For example, the Plus Four LM62 is equipped with historically responsible decals, complete with race number 29, LM62 badges, silver-coloured wheels and a special fuel cap. In addition, the A-pillars are in body color and the exhausts have black tailpipes. Of course, Morgan also sticks the necessary LM62 badges on the inside and the brand features handles in the door panels in specially stitched leather and with headrests that are provided with an LM62 logo.
Morgan is only going to make – how could it be otherwise – 62 copies of the Plus Four LF62.
