Moroccan Neo Motors comes with cheap first car

An interesting new car goes on sale in Morocco this month. It is a three-door crossover with a mild retro sauce with a removable carriage and a nice rugged appearance. Its starting price: around €20,000.

In the market for a car that does a lot differently than the cars you can currently buy in the Netherlands? Then you should keep a close eye on the Moroccan Neo Motors. Neo Motors is a brand founded in 2018 whose first model is an interesting one. Neo Motors will sell a three-door adventurer with a fiberglass carriage and a removable hardtop.

Neo Motors’ first car was developed with the help of the Tunisian-based car brand Wallyscar. Wallyscar also sells a relatively cheap car with a relatively rough-looking carriage and therefore has the necessary experience in that area. The Moroccan car is 3.9 meters long, 1.72 meters wide and 1.66 meters high.

It is available with a 1.2 three-cylinder that produces 82 hp and 118 Nm. This machine gives it a top speed of 160 km/h, the average consumption is 4.8 l/100 km. For more oomph, Neo Motors has a 1.6 four-cylinder on offer. It produces 115 hp and 150 Nm and helps the car reach a top speed of 190 km/h. The 1,172 kilo adventurer stands on 15-inch wheels and has a 637 liter luggage compartment. If you fold the rear seats flat, you can store up to 1,365 liters in the three-door. The car should be available on the Moroccan market for less than €19,000.

Do you think it is a success and would you like to see it on the market in the Netherlands? Why or why not?
