Motorola releases its Razr 2022 in the Netherlands and Belgium for a suggested retail price of 1,199.99 euros. The Razr 2022 was previously announced in China and has a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and the fastest Qualcomm chipset to date.

In addition to its 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate, the Motorola Razr 2022 also has a second screen that you see when you close the folding phone. That screen is 2.7 inches, and therefore a lot larger than the 1.9-inch cover screen on the Z Flip 4. So you have a much larger image if you, for example, put the Razr in tripod view to make video calls. The flip phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The foldable also works with Motorola’s Ready For desktop mode. You can use the phone as a wireless mouse or trackpad and play games on your TV or monitor.
Battery and cameras
The Razr 2022 also has a 3500 mAh battery. It can be charged with a power of up to 33 W. The phone also has Dual SIM, 5G and Bluetooth 5.2. Finally, the Razr 2022 has two cameras mounted on the back. This is a 50 MP main camera and a 13 MP wide-angle lens. The selfie camera has a resolution of 32 MP. You can record videos with the HDR10 + standard and 8K recordings are also possible.
The Motorola Razr 2022 has an IP rating of IP52, making the device dust and (partly) splash-proof. Furthermore, there is eSIM support and sound is produced by the Dolby Atmos stereo speakers. The new Razr is the first folding phone with three microphones. These should make your videos and phone calls sound better. Motorola’s software shell is based on Android 12.

The first Motorola Razr with Android was launched in 2019 with a suggested retail price of 1599 euros. A year later, the Motorola Razr 5G followed with a suggested retail price of 1,499.99 euros. In August, after some delay, it was finally the turn of the successor.
