The Netflix app recently received a new function, with which you can easily share (a part) of a film or series. That’s how it works!
Netflix adds new function (which users have been waiting for years)
Often streaming services do not like it at all when you share (a piece of) a film or series. Try to make a screenshot of a Netflix film. You will then see a black screen.

Nevertheless, Netflix has now also found out that sharing a clips can be quite handy. This way it regularly happens that a piece goes out of a movie viral on social media. That is why they now have a new function in the Netflix app with which you can share a clip.
To share a piece of a movie or series from Netflix, the following steps follow:
Video clip parts in Netfix
- Start the Netflix app (on your iPhone);
- Choose a movie or episode from which you want to get a clip;
- Start the video or the episode;
- Tap the screen while playing and choose ‘cut’;
- Select the starting point (the green button) and the end point (the red button);
- Tap ‘Save’ and share the video clip with the options at the bottom of the screen.
If you want to share a video clip from Netflix again later, you can. All clips you have made are under the ‘My Netflix’ button. They are all under ‘Moments that you have saved’. Do you want to share a video clip again? Then you tap ‘Show everything’ and on the arrow next to the video clip.

You can then easily share the link on social media or for example WhatsApp. Keep in mind that someone who wants to watch the video clip must be logged in to Netflix. Is anyone not logged in and they click on the link? Then a general trailer appears.
