  • Choosing becomes easier. It becomes easier to choose what you want to look. Important information from a series or film is shown more prominently in the picture and makes choosing your next binge-worthy series or film a lot easier.
  • Important functions become easier to use. The search function and your personal list were always a bit hidden on the left side of the app. Netflix has now placed these options at the top of the screen.

  • Better recommendations. The films and series that you get to see on the homepage now better adapt to your interests.
  • Renewed look. The homepage now also looks a bit tighter and more modern.

In addition, Netflix also has a few changes in store for the app on your iPhone.

  • A new way of searching. Netflix will experiment with a new search function. Generative AI is used for this, but the function is still opt-in. So you have to turn on these options yourself. With this new feature you can look for, for example, by saying that you want to watch something cheerful and funny. Netflix will then give various suggestions that meet your demand.
  • Feed as Tiktok. Netflix will also get a kind of vertical feed with short clips of films and series on Netflix. This feed looks a bit like YouTube Shorts or Tiktok.

Netflix has indicated that the new look and functions will be rolled out in the coming weeks.
