Rigorous renewal of five-door hatchback
Audi A3 Sportback
Here is the new Audi A3 Sportback! Technically, much remains with the old, but the design is completely new. Where you sometimes have to check twice with a new Audi whether you really have a new version in front of you, that is clear at a glance with the new A3.
Audi presents the new A3 Sportback. Not at the Geneva Motor Show, because it has been canceled. That is why the new model is now being presented digitally. Audi throws it, a little bit, over a different approach with the A3. Large air intakes at the front, emphatic folds in the bodywork and flared wheel arches: the Sportback now lives up to its name.
The dashboard is also completely new, with strikingly placed ventilation grilles. Audi delivers the new A3 with two 10-inch screens as standard. The latest gadgets are of course available, such as opening and closing with a smartphone, real-time traffic information and integration of a smart speech assistant. The new A3 can drive semi-autonomously on the highway and is equipped with all the usual active safety systems.
Subcutaneous remains a lot with the old and therefore the A3 Sportback also has almost the same dimensions as the outgoing model. The new Sportback offers a few centimeters extra in width and height, the trunk is exactly the same size at 380 liters. There are no surprises with the engine range either. The 1.0 TFSI with 110 hp and the 1.5 TFSI with 150 hp represent the petrol offer, for diesel drivers there is a choice of 116 and 150 hp strong versions of the 2.0 TDI engine. More engine variants will follow later, including plug-in hybrid and natural gas versions.
The new A3 is coming to the Netherlands in May, the prices are not yet known.
