Kawasaki introduces new colors for the 2026 Versys 1100, the Versys 1100 S and the Versys 1100 SE. The S and SE in particular are now available in a very crazy color.
Thirteen years after his introduction, in which the engine of strange and especially also ugly ducks (because: those who come up with a four-in-line Allroad) transformed into a sublime and delicious adventurous tourer pur sang, the production of the Versys 1000 came to an end.
The Versys 1000 was followed by the Versys 1100, which could only be distinguished from the 1000 for the 1100 logo somewhere on the Kuip. That plus a horrible USB connection on the steering wheel. The difference between 1000 and 1100 was in the block, which thanks to a 3 mm longer stroke now had a cylinder capacity of 1,099cc.
Together with other adjustments, the top power had risen from 120 hp to 135 hp, but at least as important according to Kawasaki was that the block now had a stronger torque across the board thanks to that longer stroke. During the test in Catalonia, however, it was the significantly stronger power at the top that was clearly felt.
The engine was indeed stronger across the board, but because it had received more at the top than at the bottom it felt as if the win was not at the bottom, but at the top. Compared to the 1000, the 1100 felt sportier, and we could definitely appreciate that. Otherwise, take the test again.
Just like this season, the 2026 Versys 1100 is available in 3 versions: Standard, S and SE. The standard version delivers solid basic equipment and is the perfect starting point for adding accessories yourself. The S version benefits from a very rich equipment with additions such as a Quick Shifter, handle heating and a larger windshield.
Kers on the cake is the SE model, as we also reason at the end of last year. This model has the same equipment as the S model but is also equipped with semi -active electronic suspension with Showa Skyhook technology.
The 2026 Versys 1100 models will be available from mid -September at the official Kawasaki dealers in the following new colors:
Versys 1100
• Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray/Metallic Diablo Black
Versys 1100 S (E)
• Metallic Deep Blue/Metallic Diablo Black
• Emerald Blazed Green/Metallic Diablo Black
