Cupra, the sporting brand from Seat, has a lot to offer with the Leon. No fewer than four engine versions are coming, including a plug-in hybrid.

The new Seat Leon has only just been unveiled or Cupra, which has recently become a semi-independent brand, is already presenting its own versions of the model. The Cupra Leon comes in three power versions and with two different powertrains. The classic option is the 2.0 TSI engine with 245, 300 or 310 hp. The most powerful version is only supplied in the spacious Sports Tourer and is equipped with four-wheel drive. The fastest version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 5 seconds.

Cupra offers a new alternative in the form of the “High Permormance Plug-in Hybrid”, which, like the least powerful version of the 2.0 TSI, has 245 hp. However, the torque of 400 Nm is equal to the 310 hp version thanks to the electric motor. The basis of the powertrain is a 1.4 TSI engine, but the hybrid can also only run on the 85 kW electric motor over a distance of 60 kilometers.

Cupra has not only tackled the Leon engine, the exhaust system, chassis and brakes have also been improved. The decoration consists of dark and copper-colored accents, sporty bumpers, side skirts and spoilers. In the interior you will also find copper-colored elements and a sporty design.

More information, including prices, will be announced in the run-up to the introduction. It is planned for the fall.
