Dacia Duster

The Dacia Duster is one of the most affordable crossovers you can currently buy new. The new Dacia Duster will probably be the same soon, although it is expected to be several thousand euros more expensive.

With the new Dacia Duster, the Romanians remain faithful to the down-to-earth Duster recipe, but the new Duster looks more exciting and sharper than ever. The new Duster not only breaks with its appearance, but also on a technical level with the Duster as you have known it for years. For the first time since 2010, the Duster is on a completely new platform and is not only available with LPG machines, but also with mild-hybrid and even fully hybrid powertrains. You will probably pay several thousand euros more for all that beauty.

The first prices of the new Dacia Duster have been released in France. In France, the new Dacia Duster is available from €19,690. A bargain, you might say. That amount is for the new Duster with TCe 100 Eco-G drivetrain with which you can refuel with LPG. Which is just under 20 grand for the Essential version. The outgoing Duster is not available in combination with that version in France. To make a comparison, we have to look one step higher on the status ladder. We can compare the price of the new Duster with TCe 100 Eco-G drivetrain in Expression trim with its predecessor. The new Dacia Duster costs €21,600 in that configuration in France, while the previous model with the same drivetrain and in the same version was on the price list for €19,250. €2,350 difference, to the disadvantage of the new one.

In the Netherlands, the outgoing Duster is available with a TCe 100 Eco-G drivetrain from the Essential version (€24,200). As an Expression it costs €25,000 in the Netherlands, no less than €5,750 more than the previous model in that configuration cost in France.

To estimate what the new Dacia Duster will cost in the Netherlands, we use the calculator. We take the French starting price of the new Dacia Duster TCe 100 Eco-G Essential (€19,690) and add the price difference between the previous French and Dutch Duster (€5,750) and the French price increase of the new model (€2,350). Then we arrive at €27,790. We can also add the French price difference between the Expression versions between the old and the new model (€2,350) to the current Dutch starting price. Then we arrive at €26,550. Looking at pure coffee grounds? Most certainly, but it seems certain that the new Dacia Duster will be several thousand euros more expensive in the Netherlands than the previous model, given the same version. Do you get more pampering in return? That too.

We do not yet have Dutch prices for the new Dacia Duster. They probably won’t last long.

Price comparison old and new Dacia Duster

Engine Performance €(Netherlands, old model) €(France, old model) €(France, new model)
TCe 100 Eco-G (LPG) Essential €24,200 €19,690
