New Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally: built for limitless adventure

Ducati says it has taken the Multistrada V4 Rally to an even higher level for the 2026 model year. With an emphasis on long-distance comfort, off-road capabilities and an extensive electronics suite, the Rally is ready for adventurers who know no boundaries.

New Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally: built for limitless adventure

The Multistrada V4 Rally has been a favorite among world travelers on two wheels since its introduction in 2023, according to the Italians. With a 30-litre fuel tank, Adaptive DSS EVO suspension with longer travel, ergonomic rider and passenger position, and robust spoked wheels, the Rally promises to travel over any terrain in maximum comfort. The new colors – Jade Green with gold wheels and Ducati Red with brushed tank – make the motorcycle immediately recognizable and emphasize its adventurous character.

Ducati equips the V4 Rally with an advanced electronics suite, including Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Detection, and an Automatic Lowering Device that automatically lowers the engine at low speed for easier ground contact. Ducati says it has adjusted the algorithm for the latter, with now a separate strategy for on-road and off-road. The difference is in the speed at which the reduction is deactivated: 50 km/h on the street, 20 km/h off-road.

The semi-active Adaptive DSS EVO system continuously adapts to driving behavior, the weight of the driver and passenger, and the properties of the surface. Thanks to the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) algorithm, taken from MotoGP, ABS Cornering, Ducati Wheelie Control and braking strategies work more precisely than ever. New in 2026 is the optimized rear-to-front braking strategy, whereby operating the rear brake activates the front brake for extra stability and comfort when braking sharply, especially with a passenger.

In addition, features such as Ducati Cornering Lights, an improved headlight cluster, the Coming Home function, and an optional rear fog light ensure maximum visibility and safety in all conditions. Yes, you read that right, a rear fog light. We think that is a world first, we have never seen a motorcycle with a rear fog light before, or have we missed that in the past?

Power and chassis

Underneath the Multistrada V4 Rally has remained the same. The 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo still produces a top power of 170 hp at 10,750 rpm and maximum torque of 121 Nm at 8,750 rpm, with a linear torque curve for smooth, progressive response. Thanks to the counter-rotating crankshaft, first used by Ducati on the Desmosedici MotoGP machine, the bike feels light and agile, despite its large displacement.

The lightweight aluminum monocoque frame has also remained the same, although the swingarm pivot point has now been placed slightly higher, which, according to Ducati, should have increased the anti-squat effect of the rear shock for more precise handling when fully loaded. For the same purpose, the rear brake disc has also been enlarged to 280 mm. The standard tubeless spoke wheels are equipped with a TPMS system that displays tire pressure on the dashboard.

The bike is equipped with Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0, which makes shifting feel faster and more direct, without microswitches.

Comfort for two

The Multistrada V4 Rally is designed for long journeys with a passenger. The 40 mm wider and 20 mm higher windshield offers better protection, while the position of the cases guarantees sufficient legroom. Various seating options and a lowered suspension package allow for adjustment to any rider and passenger combination. Standard center stand and heated grips (five positions) increase ease of use and comfort.

The Rally is available in three versions:

– Radar: Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, Forward Collision Warning
– Adventure Travel & Radar: Adds aluminum cases and heated seats
– Full Adventure: complete with Akrapovic exhaust and carbon front fender

In addition, Ducati offers a wide range of accessories, including various seat and windshield options, suitcase systems, top cases and soft luggage. Specially developed clothing such as the Tour Summer outfit and the Strada C5 outfit ensure comfort in all weather conditions.
