Now standard as a (HEV) hybrid
Honda HR-V e: HEV 2022
Honda today presents the new generation HR-V. The compact SUV – the brand speaks of a coupĂ©-like SUV – is now hybrid powered as standard.
Honda has completely renewed the HR-V model and is presenting this to us today. We already revealed the most important news: from now on, the compact SUV will appear as a hybrid ‘without plug’ as standard. We see this reflected in the new name HR-V e: HEV. The new Honda HR-V will arrive in Europe at the end of 2021.
Nowadays, Honda uses the principles of ‘function and beauty’ when designing a car. The resulting fresh design consists mainly of clean lines and surfaces without fuss. Thus the fold over the side doors has disappeared.
Although the Japanese brand speaks of a coupé-like SUV, the footage shows that the roofline slants less towards the rear than before. That should benefit the headroom of the two people in the back. According to contemporary fashion, the bonnet also drops less. Thus, the new grille stands at an almost 90 degree vertical angle above the ground.
The dashboard has also been cleaned up. In the center we see three buttons and an infotainment screen, that’s about all. The fans on the far sides of the dashboard are L-shaped, resulting in a ‘curtain of fresh air’ next to and above the occupants. Magic Seats, the system for easily and flexibly dividing seats and luggage space, is not lacking.
