Venucia puts words to words
The range of cars with a fuel cell on board is certainly not large. Autoland now has a new hydrogen SUV that Nissan also has something to do with. This is the Venucia V-Online H2-e.
Anyone who has been visiting AutoWeek for a while is undoubtedly aware of the existence of Venucia. Venucia is a brand of the Dongfeng Nissan joint venture that Nissan has in China with – you guessed it – Dongfeng. Venucia has been around for 13 years now and over the years it has produced various models that relied on Nissan technology. Venucia is now increasingly developing its cars itself, although it can draw from the warehouses of the brands of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. Today in the spotlight: the Venucia O-Online.
The Venucia V-Online itself, also called Da-V, Big V or Grand V, is not new. The car has been around for about two years and until now has always had a 190 hp blown 1.5 four-cylinder petrol engine. AutoWeek has found a new version of the 4.56 meter long SUV in the database of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology with an interesting name: the Venucia H2e. As its name suggests, this is indeed a variant with a fuel cell on board.
The Venucia H2e has a fuel cell developed by Dongfeng Motor that generates energy for the 218 hp powerful electric motor that Venucia purchases from Shenzhen Zhixin Technology. There are no further technical data available yet, so we still have to guess at the range of the V-Online H2e. At the beginning of this year, Venucia made it clear that it had a nose for hydrogen technology.
