That claims DigiTimes. The website writes that TSMT, a major supplier to Apple, is currently in the process of producing mini LED screens. According to rumors, Apple will release two new MacBook Pro laptops this year where you can choose between 14 or 16 inches.
DigiTimes claims that TSMC will supply the screens for these laptops and that the production problems have been solved. The manufacturer faced all kinds of technical challenges, which meant that fewer screens could be produced. According to DigiTimes, TSMC is now back on track.
Furthermore, the MacBook Pro 2021 seems to get an Apple M2 chip. The successor to the M1 processor – which, for example, is already in the 13-inch MacBook Pro, iMac 2021 and the latest MacBook Air – promises to be faster and more energy-efficient.
At the end of 2020, Apple announced it would switch from Intel to its own chips within two years. Because the company now produces its own computer chips, it has much more control over the production schedule.
