Also comes as electric Folgore!
Maserati never stops. Where the brand first presented little news for years, it launched the MC20, MC20 Cielo, the Grecale and a completely new GranTurismo in a short time. A newcomer will soon be added: the GranCabrio. That new Maserati GranCabrio can be seen for the first time in this set of photos.
At the beginning of October, Maserati presented the all-new GranTurismo. That new Maserati GranTurismo was more than welcome, after all, its predecessor was launched in 2007 and was already taken out of production in 2019. The previous GranTurismo also had an open brother in the form of the GranCabrio, and that model is also not without a successor. We can now show you the new GranCabrio in a test suit for the first time.
The Maserati GranCabrio follows the concept of the new closed GranTurismo. This not only means that the model largely follows the design of its predecessor, but also that there will be versions with a petrol engine and an electric powertrain. The new GranTurismo is available with 490 hp and 550 hp six-cylinder, but also as an electric Folgore.
The GranTurismo Folgore has three 761 hp and 1,350 Nm strong electric motors, good for a 0-100 sprint in 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h. In the bottom of the electric GranTurismo is a 92.5 kWh battery (83 kWh net), although it is not yet known what that means for the range. We also expect this 800V powertrain in the open Maserati GranCabrio Folgore, although given the visible exhaust pipes, this is not the version that can be seen for the first time in these photos. This test sample has the Nettuno V6 under the hood. Maserati will launch the new GranCabrio in the second half of 2023.
