A few weeks after Mazda presented the facelifted CX-5, the Dutch importer has already pulled out its roll of price stickers. The new Mazda CX-5 can be ordered immediately and will be available at dealers at the end of the year.
After a series of model year updates that have kept the CX-5 current over the years, Mazda carried out a real facelift on the SUV for the first time earlier in September. The CX-5 has a new front and rear, complete with different rear light units, revised headlights and a revised grille. At the presentation of the facelifted Mazda CX-5, the importer already gave a starting price of €35,990. Now we have all the prizes.
Mazda CX-5 Newground
The starting price of €35,990 applies to the CX-5 with SkyActiv-G 165, the well-known petrol engine that is linked to a six-speed manual transmission for that price. This also concerns the nameless standard version. The CX-5 with 165 hp SkyActiv-G is also available as Comfort, Newground, Luxury, Sportive and Signature, with the Newground being a completely new variant. The CX-5 Newground comes with its green-yellow accents and things like black plastic wheel arch edges and silver-colored skid plates just a bit rougher than the other versions. The CX-5 SkyActiv 165 Newground costs at least €39,990. Prefer a six-speed automatic in this trim? Count on a starting price of €38,990 for the unnamed basic version.
Mazda CX-5 Newground
Higher up the power ladder is the Mazda CX-5 with SkyActiv-G 194, a petrol engine that has always been tied to the six-speed automatic transmission. In unnamed standard trim, this type has a price of €42,490. This is the only petrol engine in the CX-5 that is also available with four-wheel drive. The Mazda CX-5 SkyActiv-G 194 with four-wheel drive is only available as Luxury (€54,790), Sportive (€56,590) and Signature (€57,790). In this configuration, the Luxury and Sportive have a sliding/tilting roof as a bonus.
Prefer diesel? That too is possible again. Mazda also supplies its SUV with a SkyActiv-D 184 diesel engine, a 184 hp strong machine that is always linked to the six-speed automatic transmission. It is available, just like the Skyactiv-G 194, with front and four-wheel drive. Both the front-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive versions are only available as Luxury and Signature. The CX-5 SkyActiv-D Luxury costs €54,490 with front-wheel drive and €59,000 with four-wheel drive.
