In August we wrote extensively about the brand new Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé. It was immediately presented as a mighty Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4Matic and it is that provisional top version that AutoWeek can now tell you the Dutch price for. The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4Matic has a starting price of €286,258. The Mercedes-AMG SL, related to the AMG GT Coupé, costs €279,132 with the same drivetrain. When the previous AMG GT Coupé still had the AMG Roadster as an open alternative, the Roadster was always more expensive than the closed version.
Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 63 4Matic
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4Matic has a 4.0 biturbo V8 that delivers 585 hp and 800 Nm. The eight-cylinder is always linked to a nine-speed AMG automatic transmission, which distributes the power to all four wheels. In 3.2 seconds the muscle bundle races from a standstill to a speed of 100 km/h. Its top speed: 315 km/h.
The Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé will also be available as a 55 4Matic. It also has an eight-cylinder and four-wheel drive, but with 476 hp and 700 Nm it is less potent than the 63 4Matic. We do not yet have the price of that engine version. The Mercedes-AMG SL costs €246,930 with that drivetrain. Assume that the AMG GT Coupé 55 4Matic will be slightly above that in terms of price. For the time being, Mercedes-AMG has not said anything about the arrival of a rear-wheel drive 43 version with a mild-hybrid 381 hp (+14 hp) strong 2.0 four-cylinder like the SL already has and which costs about 70 grand less. became.
