Sloping silhouette and touches of EQ

The unveiling of the brand new Mercedes-Benz E-Class is scheduled for later today. Unfortunately for Mercedes-Benz, an extensive photo series is already on the street.
An extensive collection of photos of the brand new Mercedes-Benz E-class can be found on Cochespias.net, among others. Special, since Mercedes-Benz will only unveil the new E-class later today.
The new Mercedes-Benz E-class neatly follows the design line that the brand previously used with the S and C-class. The fact that the new E-class is technically closely connected to those models does not mean that it is simply ‘a large C’ or ‘a small S’. For example, we observe design elements of the EQ models in the design. Take the headlights. Just like copies of the EQE, they have the following line at the bottom. The daytime running lights split into two parts in the E-class are undoubtedly a nod to the double headlights of earlier E-classes such as the W210, W211 and W212 (pre-facelift). We know the black mask around the grille in the form of the electric EQ models.
There is also something striking about the lighting at the rear. Mercedes-Benz has applied stars – just like in parts of the bumper – which of course refer to the Mercedes logo. The C and S class do not have anything similar and we do not know it from the electric EQ models. The rear lights of the E-class are connected by a piece of plastic. Its silhouette is also interesting. The E-class Limousine has a relatively short and steeply sloping tailgate even more than the C-class.
Later today you can read all about the new Mercedes-Benz E-class on AutoWeek.nl.
