For the mere monthly amount of 2.99 euros you have unlimited access to Amazon Prime Video. The American concern publishes new titles every month on its own streaming service. Which fresh films and series can you expect in October? This is new on Amazon Prime Video.
South Park
South Park is a must for fans of humorous animated series. Right from the start in 1997, the makers discussed all kinds of social issues in a funny way. Various celebrities and politicians were also featured in a rather satirical way. As of October 31, there will be 22 (!) South Park seasons on Amazon Prime Video. Do the simple cartoons no longer hold any secrets for you? Good news, because the 23rd season can also be admired on this streaming service from the beginning of 2021. More seasons are now in the making, so for now we are not rid of Stan, Kyle, Kenny and (Eric) Cartman.
Utopia (season 1)
Utopia was originally made in the UK, but recently an American equivalent has also been added Amazon Prime Video to see. The series was actually purchased by television company HBO, but after a financial dispute, the eight episodes have now ended up on Amazon’s streaming service. The story revolves around a group of young people who know each other through the internet and share a common passion for the Utopia comic book. The stories from the comic turn out not only to be fiction, but to actually exist. Utopia fans are faced with murderous enemies, making this gory series about life and death. Humanity’s future is at stake!
1917
As the title of this movie suggests, the story is set during the First World War. The combatants Schofield and Blake are tasked with delivering an important message to a force further down the region. This force is about to attack the Germans, but they have withdrawn strategically and are well prepared for a possible attack. To deliver the message, the friendly Bitten have to cross the front line. Blake is committed to taking this risk. His brother is a member of the military force and threatens to fall as a soldier in the mounted trap of the Germans. Will he manage to reach his brother in time and call off the planned attack? 1917 was still in the cinema last year, but can now be seen on Amazon Prime Video.
The Lie
The Lie focuses on a gruesome lie. A teenager killed her best friend during an impulsive action. Instead of reporting the incident to the police, the parents try to put the murder under the rug. The family gets from one lie to another for this. Incidentally, The Lie is part of the so-called Welcome to the Blumhouse film series. All eight thrillers in this series will be released on Amazon Prime Video. The Lie and Black Box will be the first to appear on October 6.
Bohemian Rhapsody
Fans of the British rock band Queen will undoubtedly enjoy Bohemian Rhapsody to the full. The film focuses on the life of the charismatic front man Freddy Mercury and the other band members. All highlights and setbacks are reviewed. Think, for example, of difficult contract negotiations, mega concerts and extensive private parties with drink and drugs. In addition, this film also pays extensive attention to the sexual preference and the debilitating illness (AIDS) of the singer. And of course the immensely famous film title will be extensively covered as a soundtrack during the world-famous Live Aid concert. The actor Rami Malek portrays the role of Freddy Mercury very credibly.
