Well before Suzuki itself pulls the curtain on the new S-Cross, we can already show you that new crossover without any form of camouflage material.
Suzuki recently sent out a first teaser plate announcing the arrival of a new model. We already wrote that it would probably be the successor to the S-Cross and that indeed appears to be the case. The first photos of the all-new S-Cross have appeared on the Motoroids Instagram page.
The current S-Cross needs to be replaced in terms of age. The model debuted in 2013 at the Geneva Motor Show and went under the knife five years ago. With the new model you see in these photos, Suzuki is starting with a clean slate. The car is suffused with a design in which we perceive influences from here unknown cars such as the XL6/XL7 and the brand new Celerio. In theory, it was not inconceivable that Suzuki would base the new S-Cross on a Toyota car after the Across and Swace, but for the time being that does not seem to be the case. For example, the windows do not match that of the Yaris Cross, nor that of the Corolla Cross, which is not (yet) available here.
The new S-Cross will probably use technology that we will eventually find under the next Vitara. In any case, count on some form of electrification. We will know more on November 25, when Suzuki will pull the curtain on its more practical alternative to the Vitara.
