New versions for BMW 3 Series

BMW is expanding the price list of the 3 Series. Both the 3-Series Sedan and the 3-Series Touring will get a new basic manual transmission, although adjustments will also be made on the more powerful side of the engine spectrum! Techzle has taken all the prizes even before BMW announces it itself.

Until now, you could only get the 3 Series Sedan and 3 Series Touring with an automatic transmission, but that’s no longer the case. Soon there will be a manual version of the brand new M3, but fortunately there is already a less outlandish variant of the 3-series with a manual gearbox on the price list. The 156 hp 318i is now also available with a six-speed manual gearbox.

The 3-series Sedan costs € 42,476 as a 318i with manual gearbox. For the 3-series Touring in that configuration, you lose € 44,926. This makes them cheaper than the existing versions with automatic transmission, which have to yield € 44,527 and € 47,101 respectively.

330d and 330d xDrive

The recently announced renewed version of the 330d and 330d xDrive have also received a Dutch starting price. The 3-series Sedan costs € 60,384 and € 64,547.38 as renewed 330d and 330d xDrive. For the 3-series Touring 330d and 330d xDrive you will lose € 62,811 and € 66,974 respectively.

What exactly has changed? Quite a few. The 265 hp and 580 Nm strong 3.0 straight-six of the previous 330d has been replaced by a 286 hp and 650 Nm strong variant of the same six-cylinder. That six-wheeler is also linked to a 48v mild hybrid system that can temporarily deliver 11 horsepower. With the new machine, the 330d Sedan sprints to 100 km / h in 5.3 seconds, 0.2 counts faster than the outgoing version. The 330d xDrive needs 5 seconds for the same sprint. The 3-series Touring 330d and 330d xDrive have reached 100 km / h in 5.5 and 5.2 seconds. The average consumption of the new 330d’s is, depending on the chosen version, at 5.0-5.5 l / 100 km. The 330d’s xDrive are slightly thirsty at 5.3-5.9 l / 100 km.

M340d xDrive

There is also news for the absolute diesel executioner of the 3-series range. The M340d xDrive is now also equipped with a mild hybrid system that can temporarily deliver 11 hp extra muscle power. Nothing else changes about the 3.0 straight-six and that means that the six-cylinder diesel is again 340 hp and 700 Nm strong. The 3-series Sedan costs € 81,708 as a renewed M340d xDrive. For the 3-series Touring M340d xDrive you will now lose € 83,932. The Sedan sprints in this form in 4.6 seconds to a speed of 100 km / h and scores an average consumption of 5.9-6.6 l / 100 km. The 3-series Touring M340d xDrive uses an average of 6.1-6.4 l / 100 km on paper and needs 4.8 counts for the famous 0-100 sprint.

All new versions can be ordered immediately.
