But no R36

Nissan is working on a fully electric Skyline. But that will not be the successor to the current Nissan GT-R. What’s up with that?
The Japanese division of Nissan throws a striking message into the world via social channels. Hete says he is working on a fully electric Skyline. However, the brand is not talking about the successor to the current generation Nissan GT-R, but a converted Skyline GT-R of the R32 generation.
According to Nissan, the idea for an electric Skyline GT-R comes to a engineer from that “[…] wants to build an exciting car by adding electrification technology to my favorite car.” The Nissan R32 EV, as the unique one-off will be called, does not seem to be at an advanced stage yet. In the only image that Nissan has of the car we just see another exhaust pipe. It could still be that the R32 will only get a partly electrified and therefore hybrid powertrain. The EV designation makes us suspect that it is about the arrival of a fully electric powertrain.
