Extra power, extra sharpness

The Nissan Z is almost two years old and so far no more powerful version has been presented. Indeed: until now. This is the Nissan Z Nismo. It is stronger and sharper than the original presented in 2021.
The Nissan 370Z lasted no less than 13 years before it was replaced in 2021 in the successor simply called Z. The Nissan Z continued on the technology of the 370Z and exchanged the naturally aspirated 3.7 V6 of its predecessor for a 3.0 V6 with not one, but two turbos. With 405 hp and 475 Nm, the Z is armed only 50 hp more than the most powerful incarnation of the 370Z. Now there is a version that also surpasses that 405 hp Nissan Z. This is the Nissan Z where the gentlemen and ladies of Nichesan MoTorsports International got involved.

Nissan Z
The Nissan Z Nismo produces 420 hp and 520 Nm, which makes it 15 hp and 45 Nm more powerful than the now two-year-old original. The extra power has been achieved, among other things, through better cooling and an adjusted trajectory of the turbos. The Nissan Z Nismo gets more than just extra power. Where the regular Z is available with both a manual gearbox and a nine-speed automatic transmission, the Nismo version is only available with an automatic transmission. However, that transmission must be able to chase through the gears twice as fast as that in the less horny Z’s. The Nissan Z Nismo gets a tighter chassis, more powerful brakes, aerodynamic extras and wider wheels that fit rubber in a larger size.
From the outside you can recognize the Nissan Z Nismo directly by the front bumper. Together with the grille that is housed in it, it has a completely different shape. The grille is much wider and merges optically with the front bumper with extra wings and lips. The Grand-Nose, or G-Nose, Nissan calls the Nismo muzzle. At the back is a larger rear spoiler and the rear bumper also looks just a bit more aggressive than that of the Z you know. The chrome-colored strip that runs to the rear along the roofline on the Z Nismo is gray on the Z. In addition, the Z Nismo is overloaded with red accents and stands on new 19-inch alloy. In the interior we also see red accents and of course Nissan logos cannot be missed. Recaro sports seats? From the party. The same applies to a ’12 o’clock mark’ on the steering wheel.
The Nissan Z did not come to the Netherlands and we – unfortunately – do not expect this Z Nismo to suddenly be put on the boat to the Netherlands.
