With Splitt you create a friend pot when you go out with a group so that everyone contributes. As a result, you will never have to fiddle with change, benefiting co-drinkers or mutual reproaches.
Splitt: friend pot, but different
It is a source of irritation in many groups of friends. While going out, one always gets a round for the whole club, while others keep their wallet in their pocket and have a cheap drink. The new Splitt app aims to solve this problem with a friend pot, but on your phone.
It works very simply. After you have linked your bank account to the app, you start a new account or join an existing group. Then you invite the friends you are out with at that moment.
When it’s time to get a round, have the bar staff scan the QR code on your smartphone and the cost will be split between you and your friends. You can indicate who will participate in this round with the friend pot.

Doesn’t everyone drink the same?
You can also correct more expensive drinks by tapping someone once or twice when ordering. Are you giving up? Then press ‘Go home’ after which you no longer participate in the pot.
After the fun night out, the costs are automatically shared between you and your friends. Splitt charges EUR 0.39 transaction costs per friend pot.
Splitt is new and currently only works in Utrecht. In the app you can see which pubs accept the payment method. The app will roll out to several cities from February, although it is not yet known which places these are.
