Notable price increase

In recent months, Tesla has been making the only price cut to the others on its models. Not only in the United States in Europe, but also in China. Tesla is now breaking that trend by increasing the prices of a model in China. It is the Tesla Model Y that is not becoming cheaper, but more expensive. Bloomberg reports this.
Shortly after Tesla introduced a price reduction on the Model Y in the United States, the car also became cheaper in the Netherlands. The starting price of the Tesla Model Y is now – not entirely coincidentally – just under €45,000. After the Model 3, the Model Y is now the second Tesla with which you are eligible for SEPP purchase subsidy. Tesla also regularly lowers the prices of its models in China, but it actually makes the Tesla Model Y more expensive.
In October, Tesla carried out a minor update on the Chinese-built version of the Model Y. The car received new alloys, mood lighting and new interior finishes, and the specifications of various versions were also refined in detail. As a result, the Performance version was already priced at €1,785 in October. A Tesla spokesperson tells Bloomberg that the other versions of the Tesla Model Y will also become more expensive. It is not yet known how much more expensive. A Model Y Performance now costs €46,725 in China. Chinese consumers now pay €33,885 for a rear-wheel drive Model Y. In the Netherlands, the rear-wheel drive Tesla Model Y costs at least €44,990.
