We already knew that he was coming, what he looks like, but now the facelifted version of the Volvo XC40 is officially here.
The facelift of the Volvo XC40 basically means that the nose of the C40, the ‘coupĂ©’ version of the electric XC40, is transferred to the XC40 itself. Images previously collected by AutoWeek already showed the result, but today we finally have official images. Compared to the original XC40, the entire frontage is new, but not earth-shatteringly different. The headlamps are now cut at an angle on the inside and equipped with pixel-LED technology, which makes permanently switching on high beam bearable for oncoming traffic. The ‘grille’ is also new and a bit tighter than before.
However, it is still a largely dense reflection of a grille, with only a small cooling opening at the bottom. That is because we can unfortunately only show the XC40 in electric form for the time being. The versions with combustion engine also get the new nose, but without a doubt with an open grille. Images will follow shortly, but have not yet been released.
Outside of the nose, not much changes on the XC40 Recharge. This way the taillights remain as they were, so still without the LED turn signals that the C40 does have. The facelift does bring new exterior colors and trim materials.
We could already report what the new XC40 costs. The simultaneously presented front-wheel drive version of the C40 has already passed here, including prices.
