Opel Astra can now be ordered

You can order the new Opel Astra from today. Prices start at 26,699 euros. You can choose from petrol, diesel and hybrid; later the electric Astra will follow.

Order books are opened at Opel dealers today to take orders for the all-new Opel Astra. Delivery will start at the beginning of 2022. A few months later, Opel will unveil the Astra Sports Tourer and the fully electric Astra-e will appear in 2023.

That is not to say that the choice is now limited. For petrol drivers there is the 1.2 liter turbo engine with 110 or 130 hp. The stronger of the two can be driven with an eight-speed automatic transmission, in addition to a six-speed manual transmission. The same applies to the diesel versions. These auto-igniters are 130 hp 1.5 CDTI engines.

In addition, the new Astra will be available as a plug-in hybrid immediately upon launch. The system power of this version is 180 hp and the torque even 360 Nm. The emission-free range is approximately 60 km per charge, which means that the average consumption according to the WLTP test is super low (1.1 l/100 km). This powertrain comes standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The turbo petrol engine has a displacement of 1.6 liters.

In addition to the regular trim levels, you can now also order the Business models. Some highlights of the new generation Astra are the (ergonomic) AGR-certified driver’s seat; glare-free, adaptive LED lighting; a digital instrument panel; an intelligent head-up display; and the 360-degree camera that aids in parking and road sign recognition.
