Opel Combo-e Life
The Opel Combo-e Life is the new electric version of Opel’s practical passenger van. This clean model also offers plenty of space for five or seven people plus a lot of luggage.
Less than a month ago, Opel presented the Combo-e, the electric version of the well-known van. At the showroom launch this autumn, another electric variant will be available, the Opel Combo-e Life. Today Opel unveils this passenger version of the bus. Thanks to the abundant and practical interior space, it is particularly suitable as a car for active families or for taxi transport.
Two versions appear. The short Combo-e Life is 4.40 meters long and has five seats. Behind it fits 597 liters of luggage. With the rear seats folded, this can be expanded to 2,126 liters. The long version measures 4.75 meters, enough for seven occupants. The luggage space is even more spacious than the short version: minimum 850 to maximum 2,693 liters. Clearly, the Combo-e Life’s battery pack hasn’t taken up any interior space. If you want to take even more with you, don’t worry: the electric vehicle can tow a trailer up to 750 kg with braked weight.
Opel Combo-e Life
The powertrain in the passenger version is the same as in the commercial vehicle version. The electric motor has a power of 100 kW / 136 hp and a torque of 260 Nm. Opel has limited the top speed to 130 km / h. The maximum range, according to the WLTP test, is 280 km. Operators can choose two modes of energy recovery. The 50 kWh battery can be charged to 80 percent on a fast charger within half an hour. Opel supplies a three-phase 11 kW onboard charger with the car as standard.
The Opel Combo-e Life is equipped with the necessary infotainment (smartphone integration, 8.0 inch touchscreen, Multimedia Navi Pro), driving assistance systems (Hill Descent Control, Lane Keep Asist, traffic sign recognition) and practical options (ISOFIX child seat mounting points on every seat in the back). Anyone who considers it necessary can order Trailer Stability Assist and / or IntelliGrip electronic traction control. Prices will follow later this year.
