Opel Mokka: in addition to electric and only with a petrol engine, now also mild-hybrid

The Opel Mokka is getting a new engine version. The crossover was already available as an electric Opel Mokka Electric and was also on the price list with conventional petrol engines. A mild-hybrid engine version has now been added.

Earlier this week, the Peugeot 308 and the DS 4 were introduced to a mild-hybrid powertrain and now it is a smaller model from one of the Stellantis brands that has mild-hybrid hardware available: the Opel Mokka. The new mild-hybrid engine version is called Opel 1.2 Turbo Hybrid eDTC, but is otherwise very well known.

The Opel Mokka 1.2 Turbo Hybrid eDTC has a 136 hp and 230 Nm strong 1.2 three-cylinder petrol engine that is supported by a 28 hp and 55 Nm powerful electric motor housed in the six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The powertrain will soon replace the 130 hp 1.2 Turbo with eight-speed automatic transmission. The 1.2 Turbo with manual gearbox will continue to exist.

The Opel Mokka 1.2 Turbo Hybrid eDTC is available as an unnamed basic version from €36,249. It is also available as a GS (€37,749) and as an Ultimate (€39,499). The prices are no different than those of the Mokka with the traditional 130 hp 1.2 with automatic transmission.
