Earlier in March, Pagani showed a teaser record of what was most likely the mighty Huayra R. Pagani now confirms the arrival of that fierce track version of the Zonda successor, a car that will be presented on March 18.
Just like its predecessor Zonda, the Pagani Huayra will have an extremely intense circuit version that should be able to blow past the regular Huayras left and right. Pagani confirms through his social channels that the Huayra R will make its debut on March 18. The extreme Pagani Huayra R can already be seen to some extent on new teaser material.
Of the Zonda, Pagani has made 15 non-road legal and therefore specifically for track use Zonda’s R, a car that is now finally getting a direct successor. Huayra, presented in 2012, will make its public debut this week as Huayra R. The Huayra R promises, just like the Zonda R, to be a heavily sprayed and expanded colossus. Like that Zonda R, the Huayra R gets a truly gigantic rear wing, but that cake slice isn’t the only thing that visually differentiates the Huayra R from the Huayra. The rear of the Huayra R seems to be completely overhauled. No wonder, according to Pagani, the Zonda R only shared 10 percent of its parts with the regular Zonda and it is obvious that the Huayra R also shares little technology with the ‘regular’ versions. The fresh footage that Pagani releases of the Huayra R includes one roof scoop can be seen, an air scoop on top of the roof.
Pagani Zonda R.
Just like the Zonda R, the Huayra R is said to have a turbo-free 6.0 V12, a machine that may send around 900 horsepower to the rear wheels. The regular Huayra has a biturbo V12 behind the front seats, a 730 hp machine that produces 764 hp in the Huayra Roadster. Pagani already has extra potent versions of the Huayra on the menu. Not only the 755 hp Huayra BC and 800 hp stere Huayra BC Roadster exist, but also the mighty 830 hp Huayra Imola. All these versions will soon have to recognize their superior in terms of performance in the Huayra R. More later this week.
