Peugeot announces price 508 PSE

Peugeot shares the Dutch price of the sporty plug-in hybrid 508 PSE. The first model under the new Peugeot label is available from € 70,700. Deliveries start in early May.

The 508 PSE kicks off for Peugeot Sport Engineered, the label under which most sporty Peugeots are expected to fall in the coming years. The 508 PSE is available as a Berline from € 70,700 and the SW must yield at least € 72,300. That is quite a bit more than the current plug-in hybrid 508, which is in the price list as Blue Lease Allure from € 45,800. For that big difference you of course get the necessary extra. The 508 PSE delivers 360 hp and 520 Nm of torque and has four-wheel drive. This makes it the strongest production Peugeot ever. The sprint to 100 km / h is finished in 5.2 seconds and the top speed is 250 km / h. That makes a sprint against German competitors suddenly a lot more interesting.

Speaking of those competitors, with its price, the 508 PSE is in the waters of the BMW M340i and Mercedes-Benz C 400, which cost € 77,430 and € 68,939 respectively and have a six-cylinder under the hood. That’s dangerous territory. The 508 PSE has a distinctive look, but it remains to be seen whether that is enough to keep buyers away from the above brands.

The 508 PSE can be ordered immediately. The first episodes will then take place in May.
