At PSA, the range is strengthened within a very short time with a few electric models. The arrival of the e-Boxer was already known, but Peugeot has remained somewhat brief with its information about this electric orderer. Until now.
At the end of April last year, information surfaced for the first time about the arrival of electric versions of existing buses from the PSA stable: the Citroën Jumper and Peugeot Boxer. There was some sharing about the length variants and the buses would have to reach 270 kilometers. Peugeot did not reveal more information all this time. Until now, because in addition to more photos of the e-Boxer, more is known about the specifications.
It remains a bit brief in terms of information, but Peugeot shares that the e-Boxer will be available with the choice of two different battery packs: 37 kWh or 70 kWh. Peugeot therefore opts for slightly different packages than those used in the more compact electric e-Expert. With that van, there is a choice of 50 kWh or 75 kWh. Funnily enough, Peugeot estimates that both buses should be able to reach about the same distance on one full battery charge. For the e-Boxer, the estimated range is a maximum of 340 kilometers. The e-Expert should be able to travel up to 330 kilometers.
Peugeot also shares a little more information about the formats of the e-Boxer. It will be placed in the showroom in four different lengths with three different heights. Up to 1,890 kg of luggage can be taken, although the question is what remains of the range. Peugeot does not yet know when the electric bus will be available in the Netherlands.
