Philips Hue lights now pretend someone is home

Imagine that every day from 7 to 8 you read a book in your easy chair, except on Sunday, because then you are in the pub with your friends. With Philips Hue’s new automation, you can make your lights pretend you’re just there.

Mimic Presence

It may not be the best for your energy bill (certainly not if it is usually not an hour of reading, but for example watching many hours of television), but it is smart against burglars. Philips Hue now introduces ‘imitate presence’ (which is called ‘mimic presence’ in English), where the lamps teach you routines and therefore go on and off even when you are not there at times when you normally switch on via the app or a voice assistant. the lights would ask to come on.

Thanks for the tip, Ronald!
