Photos without metadata with Photo Anonymizer

When you want to send a photo or post it on the internet, all kinds of metadata are often attached to it, from the camera model to the exact photo location. You can get rid of this metadata with Photo Anonymizer.

Step 1

To find out if any metadata is associated with a photo, you can initially check the Properties query in the explorer and on the tab Details to look. You can see even more metadata with a free tool like XnViewMP, in the Info-panel.

Step 2

You download it for free Photo Anonymizer here. At the first start-up you can register for a full license for free. You then click on Configure program settings, to avoid overwriting your original photos.

Step 3

There are three buttons in the main window that you can use to delete different types of metadata: Remove metadata (such as time stamps and camera information), GPS information (geolocation) and Alternate Data Streams (additional information, such as ‘downloaded from the Internet’). If you choose one of the latter, all you have to do is select the photos and click Anonymize files to push.

Step 4

choose you Remove metadata then you still have to indicate exactly which information you want to remove after the photo selection.
